City Clerk

The office of city clerk is the oldest among public servants, extending to ancient times, and exists today as a vital part of local government around the world. The city clerk is committed to open public government and to serving citizens.

Services

This office provides a variety of services that support the mayor, city council, city departments, and the citizens of Snoqualmie including:

  • Produces meeting materials for city council meetings
  • Publishes city council meeting agenda packets and takes meeting minutes
  • Provides public notification of special city council meetings
  • Maintains official documents, including ordinances and resolutions
  • Computerizes legislative history, records contracts, and agreements
  • Manages and responds to public records requests  
  • Serves as the designated agent for receiving claims against the City
  • Coordinates the Annual Citizens Academy
  • Helps recruit members to serve on a variety of City boards and commissions
  • Serves as liaison to King County Elections
  • Provides notary and voter registration services
  • Serves as the City's Delegate to the Washington Cities Insurance Authority
