Explorers

The Snoqualmie Police Department Explorer Program is a youth program for young women and men ages 14 to 21.

The Police Explorer Post is a subsidiary of Boy Scouts of America, Learning for Life Program, and the Washington State Law Enforcement Explorer Advisor Group (WLEEA), and Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC). To learn more about WLEEA, visit their website at www.WLEEA.org.Explorers are asked to commit to between 5-10 Community Events which accounts for hundreds of yearly volunteer hours.

The Snoqualmie Police Explorers participate in such events such as Snoqualmie Railroad Days, Tanner Jeans Memorial Bicycle Safety Rodeo, Boeing Classic, Snoqualmie Block Party, and National Night Out. They also participate in several Explorer Challenges which allows them to compete with other posts in areas like traffic stops, physical fitness, and shooting drills.

The Snoqualmie Police Explorer Program is set up as a non-profit organization, sub-organization of the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs. The Post is Snoqualmie Learning for Life # 2117 and our non-profit tax ID number is 910961051. Donations to the program are tax-deductible and copy of our determination letter is available upon request.

Because this is a youth program, the Explorers can only participate in the Challenges and for travel when funds allow. Your donation assists with that and also allows them to purchase uniforms and equipment and supplies for their monthly meetings and training.
