The I-90 / SR 18 interchange is the most problematic transportation challenge in Snoqualmie. Thankfully, after many years of persistent meetings with the Washington State Department of Transportation and testimony in Olympia, the Washington State Legislature approved $150 million to improve travel times and safety performance at the Interstate 90 and State Route 18 interchange.
The original timeline to begin the project was not scheduled to begin until 2023. However, during the 2017 legislative session, the funding to design and construct interchange improvements was moved up by six years. Design is scheduled to begin in 2017 with construction beginning in 2020.
