The City of Snoqualmie and Gangjin, South Korea became Friendship Cities in 2008 and formalized the relationship to become Sister Cities in 2009.
There have been seven cultural exchanges for Korean students to travel to Snoqualmie, stay with host families, attend Mount Si High School, and enjoy the amazing beauty of the Snoqualmie Valley. There have also been a number of students from Mount Si High School that experienced cultural exchanges through homestays, school attendance in Gangjin, and touring the rural southern region of South Korea.
Altogether, more than 200 students have made life-long friends with their host-siblings, experienced opportunities for personal growth, and expanded their world view and educational careers. Not to mention, they had great times!
