The City of Snoqualmie and Chaclacayo, Peru became Friendship Cities in 2011 and formalized the relationship to become Sister Cities in 2013.
There have been six cultural exchanges bringing Peruvian students to Snoqualmie for homestays, attendance at Mount Si High School, and touring the Snoqualmie Valley. Mount Si High School students have also traveled to Chaclacayo with excursions to Machu Picchu, Cuzco, and Chosica.
Nearly 100 students from both countries have formed life-long relationships and had once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Also, had lots of fun!
