Citizen CPR

This is a three (3)-hour course taught to the American Heart Association Standards.  Topics covered include adult and child CPR, foreign body obstructions, and risk factors for heart disease.  Upon finishing the class, students receive a completion card valid for two (2) years. The class fee is $10.

The 2017 CPR  remaining class date is:  October 10 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

Special group CPR classes are available upon request to groups with a minimum of 8 students and a maximum of 12.  The cost is $15 per person with a minimum requirement of eight (8) people.

Pre-payment is required for Special Group CPR classes.  Once registration is confirmed, submit check payable to 'City of Snoqualmie' two (2) weeks prior to class date to: Snoqualmie Fire Department, Attn:  CPR Class Registration, 37600 SE Snoqualmie Parkway, Snoqualmie, WA 98065.

First Aid CPR AED
This is a Heartsaver First Aid CPR Automate External Defibrillator (AED) instructor-led, video based course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking, or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive.  Students learn skills treatment of bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies.  The class also teaches adult CPR and use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED).  The class fee is $25 and includes a workbook and keychain/face shield.  Students will receive a CPR card that will be valid for two (2) years. The 2017 First Aid CPR AED remaining class dates are:  September 9 and November 4  from  9:00 am  to 3:00 pm.

Fire Extinguisher Safety and Usage
This course is designed to teach citizens how to use fire extinguishers safely.  Instruction consists of lecture and hands on practice extinguishing fires.  Upon completion of the class, students will be able to recognize and identify different types of fire extinguishers and their usage. Free with participants providing their own fire extinguishers.

Home Safety Inspections
The Snoqualmie Fire Department will perform a safety inspection of your home and property if requested.  Special attention will be paid to smoke detectors, fire hazards, and emergency preparedness.  Homeowners will be given a checklist of items inspected and recommendations on how to improve safety in their homes.  Free with advanced notification.

Fire Station Tours
We will gladly give a station tour to any group that would like to visit the station. Children will be given an opportunity to tour the station and vehicles, plus a brief fire safety talk by the Fire Fighters.  Free with advanced notification.

Show and Tell/ Safety Talk
Fire Fighters will visit groups in the city to present information on fire safety.  Children are also given the opportunity to sit in the fire engine and have demonstrations of the different tools and equipment we use.  Free with advanced notification.
