The City of Snoqualmie has ten advisory boards, commissions, and committees made up of citizen volunteers that advise the City Council on a wide variety of topics and issues. Click on the links at right for more information about the city boards and commissions. Vacancies for these groups occur either through scheduled vacancies (those created by the expiration of a term) or through unscheduled vacancies as a result of resignations.
Application - Statement of Interest to Serve on a Board or Commission
There is one position open on the Parks Board. This board advises the City Council on the expansion and operation of city parks, recreational facilities, and programs in the overall Recreation Comprehensive Plan for the City of Snoqualmie. The board consists of seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council for four-year terms. Board Position No. 1 is vacant with a term ending December 31, 2014. Reappointment will be considered at that time. The Parks Board meets on the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at Snoqualmie City Hall, 38624 SE River Street.
Economic Development Commission
There are two positions open on this commission, which advises the City Council on efforts and actions related to economic development in Snoqualmie. The objectives of the commission are to evaluate current city issues, projects and priorities; advise the city administration and City Council regarding the interests of the business community; and foster a positive economic environment. This commission consists of seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council for two-year terms. Members must reside or operate a business within Snoqualmie city limits. Meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month, 8-10 a.m. at Snoqualmie City Hall, 38624 SE River Street.
