Community Center Artwork


CALL TO ARTISTS

The City of Snoqualmie desires to build its reputation as a center for art by acquiring, displaying and interpreting visual arts in public places.

A new community center is being built in the City of Snoqualmie (35016 SE Ridge Street), with a public art budget of $39,000 all-inclusive.   The Snoqualmie Arts Commission seeks to purchase an existing 3-D sculpture(s) or commission a new sculpture(s) to be installed outside near the front entrance of the building. A permanent concrete pad, not to exceed 100 square feet, will be provided as a foundation for the artwork.  

Artwork requirements:
• Must be a durable 3-D sculpture that fits on a concrete base not to exceed 100 square feet
• Must be an outdoor sculpture able to withstand weather, high winds and the elements
• Must be realistic or representational
• Must relate well to the site and building design

Artwork location(s):
• Adjacent to the walkway or the building on the East side of the community center
• Near the community center main entrance
• Facing east toward SE Ridge Street
