Planning Commission
Planning Commission
The Planning Commission consists of nine members, including two ex officio members, appointed by the Mayor to six-year terms. The role of the Planning Commission is to make recommendations to the City Council, and on some issues, make decisions on land use issues such as zoning. The principle guide to making land use decisions in Snoqualmie is the Comprehensive Plan of the City and Zoning Ordinance.
The Planning Commission meets on the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall (38624 SE River Street). For more information, please call 425-888-5337
Snoqualmie 2030: the Next Generation
The City of Snoqualmie is embarking on a two-year update of its Comprehensive Plan. The Washington State Growth Management Act (RCW 36.70A) requires that cities develop plans to manage population and urban growth in a 20 year planning horizon. These plans guide city activities and programs, decisions on infrastructure, regulations and budgeting, and embody a vision of the future city that residents wish to leave to future generations.
Cities are required to update their Comprehensive Plans every seven years and it is time for us to begin our review and update process. Join us in this effort by answering: What Do You Want for the Future?
