The Shoreline Hearings Board members are appointed by the Mayor for terms of four years, one of whom shall be a City staff employee other than the administrator. The role of the Shoreline Hearing Board is to review shoreline conditional use permits and update the Shoreline Master Plan.

Meetings may be called by the board chair or administrator at any time, or by motion of the board during a previous meeting.  The board presently meets on an as-needed basis at City Hall (38624 SE River Street).
