Construction for the “Town Center Infrastructure Improvement Project” in downtown Snoqualmie is scheduled from March through October 2010. This project is part of a larger downtown revitalization effort by the City of Snoqualmie that will eventually encompass a land use, physical design, and development plan for the downtown commercial district.
DOWNTOWN BUSINESS INFORMATION
There will be access to all downtown businesses during business hours. The City of Snoqualmie encourages residents and tourists to make an extra effort to visit downtown retail stores, restaurants and professional service providers. This may be a challenging time for their businesses.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where is the construction zone?
The area of construction is one square block of downtown Snoqualmie in the historic district. Affected streets include Falls Avenue SE, SE River Street, SE King Street, and Railroad Ave SE. Not all streets and sidewalks will be affected simultaneously.
Will there be road closures?
Periodically, there will be partial road closures at the site of construction circling the block as each step of the project moves forward. One lane of each street will remain open at all times.
Is parking be available?
There are hundreds of parking spaces throughout the downtown business district that will be available for customer use. The only parking areas that will be closed will be those immediately adjacent to the project zones. The city will erect signage indicating parking areas. Please see parking map.
Will customers and clients have full access to businesses?
Pedestrians will be able to access business entrances according to each business’s hours. ADA accessibility will be maintained to all businesses throughout construction.
When will the current roadway street lights be removed?
Street lights on Railroad Ave SE from SE River Street to SE King Street will be removed by the end of May.
When will new roadway street and pedestrian lights be installed?
Installation of the new lights is scheduled for August. The lack of street lighting is not expected to impact business because the days are getting longer.
When will the lighting upgrades occur on SE King Street, SE River Street, and
Falls Ave SE?
Removal and replacement of lighting on these streets in anticipated for August and September.
When will the new sidewalks on Railroad Ave SE be stamped with the designs shown in the Urban Design Packet?
The boardwalk finish of the sidewalks will be made as the new concrete is laid. There is a sample of the new sidewalk stamp at the southeast corner of SE River Street and Railroad Ave SE.
When will the sidewalks be demolished and re-installed on SE King Street, SE River Street, and Falls Ave SE?
Sidewalks on SE River Street will be completed by the end of May. Sidewalks on the other two streets are scheduled to be completed in July and August, weather permitting.
