City of Snoqualmie Welcomes Two New Police Officers

New Officers 9-23-2019

The City of Snoqualmie welcomes two new police officers, Isaiah Clark and Austin Gutwein, who were sworn in by Mayor Matt Larson at the September 23 City Council Meeting. They fill current openings in the department.

Officer Isaiah Clark, originally from Sitka, Alaska, started his law enforcement career at the Sitka Police Department in 2015. In 2016, he was named Employee of the Year and received a Life-Saving Award. He has also worked with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; the FBI; and allied investigative units. He now lives in the area with his family.

Officer Austin Gutwein, who attended Arizona State University, served in the Seattle Police Department for two years, where he was honored with a Life-Saving Award. Recognized for his philanthropic efforts, which include founding a charity, he is also a best-selling author of children’s books. Gutwein lives with his family in Bothell.
