Parks Maintenance - 3/4 Time Position - Tuesday, February 09, 2010
A three quarter time-full time union position, working nine (9) months under the direct supervision of the Parks Crew Chief and general supervision of the Parks & Recreation Director. A three quarter employee works forty hours a week for a period of nine (9) months; provided however, these employees shall remain on the payroll for the full twelve (12) month calendar year. Three quarter time employees regularly scheduled workweek may include Saturday and Sunday. Hours of work may vary.
Performs duties associated with the maintenance and operations of the City’s parks, trails, municipal irrigation system and open spaces. May also at times perform public works functions including operation and maintenance of water systems and streets. Performs a wide variety of maintenance activities including, but not limited to: mowing, pruning, ball field maintenance, weeding and fertilizing of parks and open spaces, irrigation maintenance and installation. Maintains restroom facilities in City Parks, including janitorial, minor repair activities, which may include basic carpentry, mechanical and plumbing work. Facilities Technician II - 3/4 Time Position - Tuesday, February 09, 2010
A three quarter time-full time union position, working nine (9) months under the direct administrative direction and supervision of the Fleet/Facilities Supervisor and general supervision of the Operations Manager. The Department Head for this position is the Public Works Director. A three quarter time employee works forty hours a week for a period of nine (9) months; provided however, these employees shall remain on the payroll for the full twelve (12) month calendar year. Three quarter time employees regularly scheduled workweek may include Saturday and Sunday. Hours of work may vary.
This position is responsible for assisting in the installation, preventive maintenance, and repairs of H.V.A.C. equipment and controls and fire and security alarm systems. Responsible for repair and maintenance of other building systems, for example, electrical and plumbing. The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is accountable for the timely and proper completion of maintenance and repair assignments. This position works with the Fleet and Facilities Supervisor, but with considerable independence, making decisions requiring the use of judgment and discretion in technical matters relating to building systems. A union position under the direct supervision of the Treatment Works Supervisor and general supervision of the Operations Manager. The incumbent performs a variety of work at a fully skilled level in the operation of the City of Snoqualmie Treatment Facilities. An Operator II is accountable for ensuring assigned plant functions and operations meet all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures while the plant is operated at the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness. Incumbents implement the overall goals and mission of the division and take nitiative to complete work in a safe, orderly and high quality manner.
The incumbent, along with other employees in this division, is responsible for the operation of assigned areas – Plant and Laboratory Operations in all Water Treatment Facilities, Wastewater, and Water Reclamation Facilities of the City. Operates and monitors computer system designed to control plant processes at all treatment facilities. A union position under the direct supervision of the Public Works Director. Incumbent performs professional engineering on construction project management of Capital Improvement Projects. Work involves successfully leading multiple CIP (Capital Improvement Projects) projects through all phases from project conception, according to project time lines and budgets, including grant and permit applications, utility and agency coordination; design; preparation of plans; specifications and estimates; contract administration, and construction inspection. Oversee work of project contractor and consultants. Although formal supervision of others is not a requirement of positions in this classification, employee is responsible for providing direction to division employees assigned to projects. Work is performed based on engineering principles and standards, state and federal laws regulating public works projects, and the City of Snoqualmie municipal code.
To contribute to the successful operation, maintenance and constant improvement of a robust infrastructure for the City of Snoqualmie, this position is entrusted to champion customer service, technical vitality and fiscal stewardship and responsiveness within the Public Works Department. The Project Engineer assists in short and long term planning, budget & project management, project development and mission quality assurance. Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician - Friday, September 04, 2009
A union position under the direct supervision of the Treatment Works Supervisor and general supervision of the Operations Manager. The Public Works Director is the head of the Public Works Department and the Treatment Works Division is within the Public Works Department. The incumbent leads and conducts complex maintenance, overhaul, and installation of mechanical equipment necessary for water, water reclamation, and wastewater treatment including distribution and collections pump stations. Incumbent will work under direct supervision and at times will work unsupervised and may need to use their own discretion.
The incumbent will lead, train other staff and perform major repairs to pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment, compressors and large aeration blowers; replace bearings, volutes, shafts, impellers, oxygen generation and distribution equipment. Salvage equipment for re-use. Develop and administer a preventative maintenance program for all assigned facilities and equipment. Incumbent will evaluate, test and perform difficult troubleshooting of malfunctions in pumps, gearboxes, compressors, sludge dryers, complex centrifuges and other related equipment in a large industrial environment. read more ...
