Operator II Treatment Works Division - Wednesday, January 27, 2010


A union position under the direct supervision of the Treatment Works Supervisor and general supervision of the Operations Manager. The incumbent performs a variety of work at a fully skilled level in the operation of the City of Snoqualmie Treatment Facilities. An Operator II is accountable for ensuring assigned plant functions and operations meet all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures while the plant is operated at the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness. Incumbents implement the overall goals and mission of the division and take nitiative to complete work in a safe, orderly and high quality manner.
 
The incumbent, along with other employees in this division, is responsible for the operation of assigned areas – Plant and Laboratory Operations in all Water Treatment Facilities, Wastewater, and Water Reclamation Facilities of the City. Operates and monitors computer system designed to control plant processes at all treatment facilities. Performs various operational positions from process monitoring and control, laboratory, sample collection, and NPDES permit administration.

Interim Police Captain/Commander - Wednesday, November 04, 2009


This is an at will Management Professional, Interim position under the direction and supervision of the
Police Chief. This position plans, organizes, coordinates and manages the day to day operations of
Sergeants and Patrol Officers, requiring extensive skill and experience in communication,
management, judgment and law enforcement. Assists in training of all employees. As necessary,
performs any of the duties of Sergeants and Police Officers. Acts on behalf of the Police Chief during
his/her absence. Assures that operations and standards are maintained and are consistent with
departmental goals and objectives.

Plans, organizes, directs and controls the Operation and Investigation Divisions. Individuals in this position are accountable for the efficient and effective performance and discipline of subordinates under their command and are responsible to assist in the development and implementation of department goals and objectives.  Supervises and conducts special or emergency police operations involving the direction of law enforcement personnel and establishes tactics to assure safe and successful resolution to the problem. Coordinates with other law enforcement agencies in planning and executing joint operations.  Monitors departmental statistics in regards to calls for service and manages resources that best provides for public safety. Manages departmental operations in accordance with requirements of Federal and State Laws, City personnel and Department policies, Union Agreement, and Civil Service Rules and Regulations. Performs a variety of other administrative support roles as department liaison; such as Civil Service, Reserve Officer Organization, and other City departments for coordinating projects in absence of Police Chief.

Police Officer - Laterial - Thursday, October 15, 2009


Under the direct supervision of Police Sergeant and general supervision of Police Captain. The incumbent patrols an assigned beat and investigates incidents in the enforcement of law and order in the protection of life and property. Work varies requiring individual judgment within prescribed standards and procedures; adjusts work methods to meet task requirements.

Operates an automobile in patrolling an assigned area for the prevention of crime and the enforcement of traffic laws and regulations; responds to radio and telephone dispatches and appears at scenes of disorder or crime; conducts crime scene investigations; notes and reports traffic hazards; assists in controlling traffic at scenes of emergencies; investigates and prepares reports on accidents, offenses and damages to property; gives directions and information, makes arrests, issues citations; serves warrants and subpoenas; prepares reports on arrests and property impounded; inspects establishments providing alcoholic beverages and entertainment; intervenes in private or public disputes to protect the public and maintain order; appears in court as arresting officer; transports prisoners; performs initial and follow-up investigations of crimes involving adults and juveniles; investigates complaints; interrogates victims, witnesses, and persons whose actions are suspicious; issues citations for parking and moving violations; speaks before school and civic groups as required; impounds and tags evidence; escorts parades and processions; continues to train in law enforcement areas and subjects. Prepares reports of own activities and investigative and operations reports.

Obtain a hard copy of the application at th City Administration Office at 38624 SE River Street in downtown Snoqualmie. Please do not request application materials by telephone.

All completed application materials must be delivered or mailed to City of Snoqualmie Human Resources in hard copy by the date and time noted on the job description: postmarks are not considered. If mailing, send to "City of Snoqualmie, Human Resources Department, PO Box 987, Snoqualmie, WA  98065". If delivering in person, go to the City Administration Office at 8020 Railroad Ave SE in downtown Snoqualmie.
