An at-will Management/Professional position under the general supervision of the City Administrator. The Parks and Recreation Department manages programs in coordination with the Snoqualmie Valley School District, the King County Parks Department, the State Dept. of Parks and the State Dept. of Natural Resources. The Director determines the parks and recreation needs of the community and then implements plans and programs to respond to those needs. This position interacts with local and area based citizen groups, elected officials, the Parks Board as well as coordination with the County and State for the provision of services that extend beyond the City limits into surrounding unincorporated area. Incumbent is responsible for all activities & management of the City Parks, Trails & Open Spaces.
Plan, organize, schedule, direct & monitor all activities of the Parks & Recreation Department, including the planning, design, acquisition, construction, & maintenance of City parks, facilities, trails, other recreational sites & open spaces. Plan, organize, control & direct programs, projects & activities related to recreational programs including but not limited to, soccer, tennis & baseball. Incumbent is responsible for the scheduling for use of all City parks. Develop, modify & implement policies, procedures & practices to accomplish objectives & maintain existing programs for the department. This is an at will Management Professional, Interim position under the direction and supervision of the
Police Chief. This position plans, organizes, coordinates and manages the day to day operations of
Sergeants and Patrol Officers, requiring extensive skill and experience in communication,
management, judgment and law enforcement. Assists in training of all employees. As necessary,
performs any of the duties of Sergeants and Police Officers. Acts on behalf of the Police Chief during
his/her absence. Assures that operations and standards are maintained and are consistent with
departmental goals and objectives.
Plans, organizes, directs and controls the Operation and Investigation Divisions. Individuals in this position are accountable for the efficient and effective performance and discipline of subordinates under their command and are responsible to assist in the development and implementation of department goals and objectives. Supervises and conducts special or emergency police operations involving the direction of law enforcement personnel and establishes tactics to assure safe and successful resolution to the problem. Coordinates with other law enforcement agencies in planning and executing joint operations. Monitors departmental statistics in regards to calls for service and manages resources that best provides for public safety. Manages departmental operations in accordance with requirements of Federal and State Laws, City personnel and Department policies, Union Agreement, and Civil Service Rules and Regulations. Under the direct supervision of Police Sergeant and general supervision of Police Captain. The incumbent patrols an assigned beat and investigates incidents in the enforcement of law and order in the protection of life and property. Work varies requiring individual judgment within prescribed standards and procedures; adjusts work methods to meet task requirements.
Operates an automobile in patrolling an assigned area for the prevention of crime and the enforcement of traffic laws and regulations; responds to radio and telephone dispatches and appears at scenes of disorder or crime; conducts crime scene investigations; notes and reports traffic hazards; assists in controlling traffic at scenes of emergencies; investigates and prepares reports on accidents, offenses and damages to property; gives directions and information, makes arrests, issues citations; serves warrants and subpoenas; prepares reports on arrests and property impounded; inspects establishments providing alcoholic beverages and entertainment; intervenes in private or public disputes to protect the public and maintain order; appears in court as arresting officer; transports prisoners; performs initial and follow-up investigations of crimes involving adults and juveniles; investigates complaints; interrogates victims, witnesses, and persons whose actions are suspicious; issues citations for parking and moving violations; speaks before school and civic groups as required; impounds and tags evidence; escorts parades and processions; continues to train in law enforcement areas and subjects. Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician - Friday, September 04, 2009
A union position under the direct supervision of the Treatment Works Supervisor and general supervision of the Operations Manager. The Public Works Director is the head of the Public Works Department and the Treatment Works Division is within the Public Works Department. The incumbent leads and conducts complex maintenance, overhaul, and installation of mechanical equipment necessary for water, water reclamation, and wastewater treatment including distribution and collections pump stations. Incumbent will work under direct supervision and at times will work unsupervised and may need to use their own discretion.
The incumbent will lead, train other staff and perform major repairs to pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment, compressors and large aeration blowers; replace bearings, volutes, shafts, impellers, oxygen generation and distribution equipment. Salvage equipment for re-use. Develop and administer a preventative maintenance program for all assigned facilities and equipment. Incumbent will evaluate, test and perform difficult troubleshooting of malfunctions in pumps, gearboxes, compressors, sludge dryers, complex centrifuges and other related equipment in a large industrial environment. read more ...
