The City of Snoqualmie Building Department is responsible for regulatory oversite during and after the construction process. After the construction project is completed the Building Department is responsible for maintenance of fire and life safety codes in non-residential buildings through an annual inspection program.
More than 80% of your life is spent inside of buildings. Most of us take our safety for granted in our homes, workplaces, schools, and religious institutions. The high level of building safety we enjoy in the United States is primarily attributed to modern construction techniques enforced through a comprehensive body of building and fire codes.
While safety is our primary mission we also help ensure that your building is energy efficient; provides a comfortable and healthy atmosphere through modern ventilation techniques; and is accessible to persons with disabilities.
