The City of Snoqualmie water system consists of two separate service areas. The source of your water depends on where you live in Snoqualmie.
A natural flowing spring developed in 1953 supplies the Historic Snoqualmie area, which includes the Old Downtown, North Fork Road, and Ernie's Grove sub-areas. Gravity flow eliminates the need for pressure booster pumps with the exception of two booster pumps for the higher Hospital/Winery and Johnson Heights zones. The Canyon Spring supply is now treated with chlorine. Filtration is not required. Fluoride is not added.
The Snoqualmie Ridge system was developed for the Snoqualmie Ridge Development. The source of water is two deep wells with a third well recently developed for future needs. The wells pump water through a treatment facility to booster pumps that, in turn, pump to a covered reservoir. Treatment consists of iron and manganese removal, filtration, and chlorination. Fluoride is not added.
