Each member of the Snoqualmie City Council and city management has taken it upon themselves to be as mindful of conservation in their daily work as the city as a whole is being in overall sustainability measures. To that end, the administration has moved toward paperless meetings and work sessions.
The City of Snoqualmie provides a laptop to every council member upon their taking office. Digital software such as “Agenda Packet Builder” and “Financial Dashboard” allow departments to submit, maintain, and track agenda bills and budget items, creating a more efficient workflow environment while at the same time conserving resources. The city clerk publishes the agenda packets online for city staff and citizens, and emails them to council members before city council meetings. If paper copies are requested, they can be printed from the digital version.
Improvements to the Agenda Packet builder software will enable more council meeting features to be incorporated electronically, such as automatic postings of meeting minutes, voting records, and attendance.
Other software improvements will allow the Building and Planning departments to receive plan sets online, automating documents such as submittals, tracking, change requests, re-submittals, and final approvals without having to use paper copies.
