UPCOMING SESSIONS

June 21, 7:00 p.m. -- Snoqualmie:  Green Visions  & ‘If I Had my Druthers’
The last session in the series will include a workshop to reflect on what participants have learned, gather input on issues and opportunities for change, and discover what citizens envision for the future of Snoqualmie.

PREVIOUS SESSIONS

February 16, 7:00 p.m. -- Laying the Foundation
The first session addressed global energy and environmental concerns, sustainability issues, and how we might affect – and be affected by – such trends locally.

March 15, 7:00 p.m. -- How Green is My Valley?  Planning a Community for Our Children
How can we support the urban forest, a variety of green spaces, healthy and local food choices, and a toxic-free environment for our kids?

April 19, 7:00 p.m. -- Traveling ‘Back to the Future.’ Urban Form and Transportation
Driving alone to work has only been a trend in the last 50 years. What impacts do travel choices have on community planning and sustainability? How do we get people out of their cars to walk and exercise more? Come learn and voice ideas on how we can support walking, biking, and new commuting patterns.

May 17, 7:00 p.m. -- The Electric Slide and the Green Side
Wise energy and water use are hot topics in the media. How can we make a difference in these global concerns?  Presenters will discuss the future of regional and local energy production, green building practices, water conservation, and how to save energy – and money – around the house.
