Help Nurture a Future Forest in Snoqualmie
Saturday, March 10, 2018
The City of Snoqualmie is restoring cleared, historically forested land back into a thriving, healthy forest with trees planted near the 3 Forks Natural Area and the Snoqualmie River. However, weeds such as Himalayan blackberry threaten to grow and overcome the young saplings. Join volunteers from the Green Snoqualmie Partnership to help ensure this forest can grow and become a healthy system for Snoqualmie residents, the river, wildlife, and community overall.
Where to meet: We will meet at the Centennial Fields Parking Lot and walk over to the site. Please do not park in the dog park parking area. If you must arrive late, look for us working at the intersection of SE Spruce St and Mountain Ave SE, 3 blocks north.
What to bring: Come dressed to work outside (rain or shine) with sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Snacks, tools, and work gloves provided.
