Fireworks Laws in Snoqualmie

  • No aerial devices are allowed in Snoqualmie. (see details below)
  • No fireworks may be possessed or discharged in any public park. A violation will result in a civil infraction.
  • By state law, fireworks sales are limited to people age 16 and older.
  • Hours Allowed for Discharge of Legal Fireworks:
    July 4, 9 a.m. to midnight
    December 31, 10 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Illegal Fireworks & Fines

Some fireworks bought at state-approved stands and on tribal reservations are not legal in Snoqualmie.

  • Aerial devices including bottle rockets and missiles, among many others (anything that goes up in the air)
    Fine: $250 for each violation of possession
    Fine: $750 for each violation of discharge
  • Fire crackers
    Fine: $250 for each violation of possession
    Fine: $750 for each violation of discharge
  • Illegal explosive devices (Fine: $5,000 and/or one year in prison)
    Some fireworks sold at state-approved stands, as well as those on tribal reservations, can become illegal when possessed or discharged in Snoqualmie city limits.

Safety Measures to Avoid Injury & Property Damage

  • Keep a bucket of water and fire extinguisher nearby to put out stray sparks
  • Only adults should light fireworks or handle sparklers
  • Teach children to “stop, drop, and roll”
  • Consider pet safety and security
